We normally require 48 hours’ notice. However, in some instances we can accommodate last minute orders subject to availability. (Please note that last minute orders come at an extra cost).
No. We prefer to receive orders via our website and/or via emails for record purposes and to ensure your preference is noted down correctly.
1. The images on our website or social media pages are examples of our cakes. All our products are handmade and can be ordered in different sizes from those shown on the website or social media pages.
2. Due to the above mentioned, your product may have variations from the images on the website or social media pages.
We have many sizes to choose from, so you can always find a cake that will be appropriate for your serving needs. We have 6 inches, 8 inches, 10 and 12 inches available. Each tier may contain 3 or 4 layers of cake, depending on your choice. We can also custom make cakes to have more layers, where desired.
We also have two and three tiered cakes available.
Yes please, this would fall under the Build Your Cake section of our menu and on our website which allows you select flavours from different categories into one cake.
We have 12 cupcakes in a box and each box can have a maximum of 4 different flavours.
Yes, we do. To place an order for a wedding cake, please send us an email detailing what date you need it for, if it is an outdoor or indoor event, what size you would like and a picture of what you would like it to look like. We would need a minimum of 96 hours’ notice for a wedding cake order.
While placing your order, you can send us a picture of the design you would like replicated via email at info@saltlagos.com If we are able to work with your chosen design, we would advise on additional costs (if any) and what would be possible to be recreated for the flavour and size selected. If you do not have a preferred design, our decorators would use their discretion and come up with an appropriate design based on details (such as gender of the recipient, message and/or colour specifications) provided while placing the order.

Yes, it does, and the cost is dependent on the location to be delivered to.
Our bakery is located at 1B, Namtl waterplace, off 2nd street, Osborne foreshore estate 1, Ikoyi, Lagos
We currently only have one kitchen located at our Ikoyi address.
We are open by 10am -5pm Mondays to Saturdays.
No, all our cakes are covered in buttercream frosting.
Buttercream is what you would commonly see on many traditional cakes. It is made primarily of butter, egg whites and sugar. At Salt Lagos, we make a Swiss Meringue Buttercream which has a silky, delicious taste and will allow for a nice, smooth finish on your cake. Fondant is a sugary paste, with a taste similar to that of a marshmallow, that can be rolled out into a thin layer then draped over the cake, creating a beautifully smooth cover. Fondant can also be used to make figures and other decorations (polka dots, stars, flowers, etc.) that can be placed on any type of cake.
No, we currently do not make ice cream cakes. However, we do have cakes that contain white chocolate mousse.
We request that you kindly keep the cakes refrigerated until needed. Because our cakes are covered in buttercream, there is a high chance that it may melt or collapse due to the hot weather in Lagos, especially when it is not kept in a cool place.
The cake can be left out for 1 to 2 hours depending on the cake flavours (cakes like or containing cheesecake and/or mousse CANNOT stay out for too long) and the weather at the time.
It can last up to a week if properly stored and refrigerated, as there are no preservatives in our products. You may also freeze the items and it can last longer.
Our items come in standard recipes and cannot be adjusted.
No, we currently do not have that option available.
Our kitchen uses known allergens such as peanuts and tree nuts, wheat, soy, eggs and milk, so ingredients and utensils used to prepare your items may have come into contact with these products (even if you have selected flavours that do not include a particular ingredient in their recipes). In addition, it is impossible to guarantee that certain allergens have not “strayed” onto products that do not include a particular ingredient in their recipes. Please contact us with inquiries regarding the inclusion of specific allergens in the recipes of specific items.
Our cake slices are currently only available for bulk orders or as a dessert option for events.
Yes, we do. Our dessert menu is available on our website. You can contact us via email at events@saltlagos.com or info@saltlagos.com. An events form is also available to be filled and submitted on our website, www.saltlagos.com.
